Get a grip, says HS2 drip

with one comment

High speed rail ‘afictionado’ Andrew Adonis is worried that HS2 Ltd chief executive Mark Thurston “isn’t gripping things”.

twitter, @Andrew_Adonis, 'This is really silly - high-speed trains that win’t go high speed - & makes me worry that Mark Thurston at HS2 isn’t gripping things. The way you deal with excessive costs is to get costs under control, not to decimate the project!'

  1. It is no surprise that AA is still as clueless as when he was hit with his original brainwave.

With thousands having pointed out to govt, at the original consultation and since, that there will be trouble ahead if they continue with their desk-stop route planning, it is also no surprise that the current HS2 chief exec blames “ground material along the route (being) much worse than expected” as the reason for “extra costs” being “generated”.

Bleakly, it comes as no surprise that our representatives let him get away with this outrageous statement, eight years into the ‘project’, so-called.

Just how many Chief Execs will come and go with their fat pay-offs before, finally, the plug is pulled?
