On 25 September, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Lord Ahmad wrote to Lord Hollick in response to questions about transport investment and the recommendations of the Economic Affairs Committee report on the HS2 scheme.

Unfortunately, Lord Ahmad’s letter didn’t really answer the questions, and there was little new information. How much of it was written by Department for Transport mandarins?
