How reliable are HS2 cost estimates?

with 5 comments

Earlier this month, the cost of HS2’s proposed Washwood Heath rolling stock facility was officially estimated at £51 million (2nd quarter 2011 prices), i.e., less than half the cost of the (smaller) Calvert infrastructure depot.

    • I don’t know. You could ask HS2 Ltd to update their foi response disclosure, if they’re not up to date.

      • Yeah, the problem with that is that I am up in front of the Bill Committee on Monday and want to use this! The HS2 Ltd FOI disclosure has gone AWOL with the site migration and i somehow doubt they would get it to me in time if I asked. If it can be emailed to me or Penny, that would be great!!!
