A Gideon Euston vision

The Evening Standard tweeted a vision of a 'Gideon Euston' HS2 terminal, with a replica of the old station arch

The Evening Standard tweeted an artist’s impression of a “new” masterplan showing how Euston could be rebuilt to satisfy George Osborne’s vision of a HS2 and real estate “super-terminal”. And with a replica of the old Arch awkwardly positioned in front of the banality.

  1. The article is in the Homes & Property section of yeterday’s ES.

The article refers to the website and if you search for this in Google you will find, which is dated May 2008.

This scheme is very similar to the “new super-terminal at Euston” which is the subject of the piece. The most noticeable change is the addition of a replica Euston Arch. Also, the War Memorial has been moved from it’s current position in two the three pictures for “new” scheme.
