Digbeth is Good has published a story about the Chernobyl slug vision for Birmingham’s HS2 station at Curzon Street. As can be seen, in the Chernoslug vision (bottom picture), the existing West Coast tracks are largely hidden (compare with HS2 Ltd’s “Shed MkII”, top picture).

Obviously, the civil engineering required for the Chernoslug box-in would be very expensive, both in terms of money and engineering possessions.
